Shampooches Service Agreement

ShamPooches Doggie Day Spa, LLC prides itself on offering kennel-free grooming for your pet. To keep a stress free, safe environment for your best friend, we groom by appointment only and each pet is given a specific time based on breed and weight. Each pet receives an individualized service so prices will vary from pet to pet and appointment. Starting prices are listed on our website and all prices are subject to change based on coat condition, behavioral needs, style, and time spent on the service performed that day.

We are pursuing clients interested in keeping their pets on schedule/pre booked appointments. Depending on breed, coat condition, at home grooming, and style, we will recommend a 4, 6, 8, or 10 week cycle for baths & haircuts. We encourage our clients to book two or three appointments in advance and make up missed appointments to stay on our client list. We highly recommend monthly nail trims and accept walk in nail trims during open salon hours.

Pets are accepted for grooming only under the following circumstances:

· Rabies Vaccination must be up to date with paperwork (not the tag)

· All pets must be leashed or in travel crates for drop off and pick up.

· All dogs must have a flat leash, no retractable/flexi. Leashes are provided if needed.

· If your dog takes sedation or tranquilizers, please let us know what type and how much was given in case dog must be taken to vet. Over the counter calming treats (like CBD or lavender) are acceptable.

· Able to be safely handled – please disclose any history of aggression, dog or people reactive, bite history, or trauma that may impact their behavior.

We reserve the right to refuse service if the pet is dangerous to themselves or the groomer

Making an Appointment

You can make an appointment by phone or online. Our booking site can be accessed on our website www.shampooches.dog or call 845-454-2100. We encourage our clients to book two or three appointments in advance and stick to their recommended grooming cycle. A credit or debit card on file is required to book appointments. If you do not want to leave a card on file you can pre-pay and if you cancel before 24 hours we will reimburse you.

Cancellations

Please call at least 24 hours prior to your appointment to cancel or reschedule. Confirmation texts will be sent three days and day of prior to appointment that you can reply to Y (yes) or N (No). Not confirming an appointment does not mean that it is canceled or confirmed. You must call or reply N to the auto text at least 24 hours in advance.

If you must cancel an appointment, please try to reschedule it within 10 days of the original appointment.

Appointments cancelled or rescheduled less than 24 hours before appointment time will be charged the full price of the service to the card on file.

No-Shows

If an appointment is missed or cancelled without a 24-hour notification, you will be charged in FULL for your grooming appointment. If you “No Show” on a Saturday, you will no longer be able to book Saturday appointments. After 3 missed or cancelled appointments, we will no longer accept you as a client.

Late Arrivals

Each pet is given an appointment time that is suited for their service needs. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may be unable to complete the service in the time remaining and you may have to reschedule your appointment. Late arrivals may be charged with a late drop off fee of $5 for every ten minutes late. If we must reschedule due to your tardiness, there will be a “No Show” fee charged for the full amount of the groom.

Late Pick-ups

At the time you drop off your pet, we will be able to give you an approximate time for pick up. We will also text/call as soon as your pet is finished or even a few minutes before. Because we are kennel free and do not have space to keep your pet after their grooming services are complete, we ask that you pick up your pet within 30 minutes of the call.  If you are late, an additional fee will be added to accommodate the time spent caring for and keeping your pet comfortable until you arrive. Late Pick-up Fees are as follows: $5 for each 10 minutes after a 30-minute grace period.

Drop Offs

Once you arrive at the salon, please walk your dog to relieve itself (even if they went before you left home). If a dog has an accident after they’ve been bathed/dried and must be re-washed, there will be an additional charge. Repetitive accidents may result in fees for extra time needed to clean up after your pet.

 

Flea Policy

Dogs that come to Shampooches Doggie Day Spa, LLC for a grooming appointment with fleas are immediately given a flea bath at an additional fee of $35.00. All dogs can get fleas & fleas can easily get inside your home. Ask your vet which flea & tick prevention is best for you.

Elderly pets and or Medical Issues

Grooming which takes place on an elderly or unwell pet will be at the owner’s risk. Grooming may expose pre-existing health/skin problems for which the company, ShamPooches Doggie Day Spa, LLC cannot be held liable. Shampooches Doggie Day Spa, LLC is not responsible for any vet bills for any reason.

Matted Coats

Maintaining your dog’s coat at home in between grooms can be hard. If a dog is matted and can be brushed out, there will be an additional charge of $1/minute needed to de-mat their coat. Coats unable to be brushed out, will be shaved with the safest length for their condition. Complete coat removal can cause skin irritations or expose per-existing skin conditions. It will dramatically alter your pet’s appearance. This procedure may expose pre-existing health/skin problems for which the company cannot be held liable.

Photo and Video Release

ShamPooches Doggie Day Spa, LLC, its representatives, and employees have the right to take photographs, video, and audio of you and/or your pet, and to copyright, use and publish the same in print and/or electronically. I agree that ShamPooches Doggie Day Spa, LLC may use such photographs, video, audio recordings of me and/or my pet with or without my name and for any lawful purpose, including, for example, such purposes as publicity, illustration, advertising, and Web content.

 


I give permission to ShamPooches Doggie Day Spa, LLC to groom my pet to the best of their ability and will pay for the TIME SPENT with my pet even if unable to complete service.

In the event my pet needs first aid, I authorize ShamPooches Doggie Day Spa, LLC to perform first aid to the best of their ability. I do not hold ShamPooches Doggie Day Spa, LLC accountable for these actions. Shampooches Doggie Day Spa, LLC is not responsible for any vet bills for any reason.

In the event of an emergency, in my absence, I authorize ShamPooches Doggie Day Spa, LLC to contact a veterinarian and authorize the vet to treat the pet as necessary at the pets’ owners’ expense.
